I´m almost looking every day on this site, reading this beautiful things about Paul. I find it´s very nice that fans,
friends and outstanding relatives can write down their thoughts.
In May 06 my husband was diagnosed with cancer too.He
feels now well, but the fear to suffer a setback keeps always in our heads.
Paul you was and will always be my favourite Snookerplayer
I miss you at the table.
God bless you and your family

Thankyou

I would just like to say thankyou to Lindsey as reading your book about your life with Paul has helped me in my time of need. Recently i lost my Gran to cancer she died in Kirkwood Hopice as Paul did after a very short battle with cancer just 3 weeks and 5 days. I started to read your book just as she was diagnosed and finished it on her final day in this world. Knowing someone else had gone through the pain and the upset i was feeling help me find my strenght. Your love with Paul was amazing. I hope they are watching over us. He will be watching over your beautiful daughter and yorself keeping you both safe.
Thankyou again Lindsey
You are inspirational!!!

On A Lighter Note

Before the 03 World Snooker Championships, Paul was trying to get his sleeping patterns right because he knew that in Sheffield he would be playing a lot of sessions that started at 10am. Paul asked me if i would play some early morning golf with him in the run up to the championship. On the first Saturday of the tournament we arranged to play at Willow Valley, quite a testing course in good weather conditions!! (Paul's first match was on the Tue against Ali Carter). We could tell from the wind and the skies, that the weather wasn't going to be very kind that particular morning. We hired a buggy and set off, the weather was atrocious by the time we'd got about half way round (A bit like the golf we were playing). Anyway after about 12 holes we decided to call it a day we were both drenched and had just had enough. The Pro was a bit surprised to see us back so early! But Paul wouldn't let me get straight off to my nice warm bath just yet. He'd just got his new M3 and he wanted to show me the built in tv, so there we were sat in the car watching Ebdon begin the defence of his title. I could tell he was excited at the prospect of playing at the Crucible the following week and there was a quiet confidence there that i picked up on as he watched Ebdon. Paul 03 should have been your year, but everyone was so proud of your performances.
Thinking of you lots love Stu and Di

Paul you were so courageous & brave in your fight against cancer. You are an absolute inspiration to us all.Your spirit will continue to thrive in your beautiful daughter Evie Rose.Your death has made me put a lot of things into perspective,I now value the important things that I did take for granted. And I also tend not to worry now about the things that are less important in life.A year on does'nt time fly.I hope you have found your peace now where ever you are and I would just like you to know that I will never forget you.It just goes to show how cruel life can be,that sometimes people are'nt destined for a life of longevity or such great things.

With much love to you, Lindsey,Evie & Family.......

Godbless xxxxxx.
