My Idol

I burst into tears this morning when I heard the new, Paul was my idol, I'm the captain of a pool team and encourage my team to play like Paul, because he loves the game, have fun and just do the best you can. Paul - you were so brave and my heart goes out to all your family and friends. It's so unfair that such an all round champion, in life and in snooker, should be taken so cruelly from us. Rest in peace.

A sad day

What can you say to watch someone like Paul battle the cancer the way he did can only inspire others to follow in is footsteps. My thoughts are with his wife and daughter, and the rest of his family. Paul will be sadly missed from our tv screens but never forgotten. RIP Paul our prayers are with you.

RIP Paul

I heard the news driving to work this morning. I was totally shocked and am still finding it hard to come to terms with the news. My deepest condolences to all of Paul's family. It is never easy to lose a loved one but at 27 words cannot begin to imagine how they feel. I never met Paul but followed his career coming from Leeds.

A great Loss

I went onto the bbc sport website last night and I was totally shocked to see the news about Paul. I was a huge fan, and I can't believe this sad news, it's major loss to not only snooker but to Sport.

I wish to pass my thoughts on to the family of Paul Hunter during this tragic time.

The best thing that World Snooker could do know is to name one of the events after him, to honour his memory.

RIP Paul a true Champion.

Paul Hunter

I never used to like Paul Hunter. I thought he was brash and arrogant on TV. Then I met him. Boy, was I wrong!

He was playing a charity exhibition with Matthew Stevens and had spent the day travelling around to various places for photo shoots etc. It was long past midnight when he finally went home. Every autograph had been signed. Every photo had been taken. 1000 plus people took him to their hearts that day.

He was a gent, and a great snooker player. I met him once but I'll miss him loads. God bless him.
