Goodbye to a great sportsman

I was shocked to hear that Paul lost the battle against cancer. Our thoughts go to his family and friends.
From all snookerplayers in Tilburg, Holland, our condolances. Paul made the game of snooker a sport to be proud of. A gentlemens' sport. He will be missed.

To Paul...

You are one of the most amazing players I have seen at the table, talented and gifted. It is a sad day, and a terrible loss to those who follow the game. I have not had the chance to watch him play in person, but I have tapes of his triumph in The Masters and even some of his games from the Premier Snooker League. Its really, a very sad day...My deepest condolences to Paul's family.
Paul...rest in peace.

Sad loss

After meeting Paul & Lindsay during my own treatment earlier this year at St James hospital in Leeds I would like to offer my deepest sympathy at this sad time. Paul always remained positive throughout and was an inspiration to others, I really believed he would beat this and it makes me realise just how lucky I was to beat it. Things like this make change your perspective on life and I certainly live for today now. Gone but not forgotten RIP Paul

When I got the news this morning I was shocked, I only ever really started watching snooker because of Paul, when he won his 1st masters title, i was just turned 15 and I thought "he's pretty fit, lets watch this" but I soon learnt there was more to him than his looks. The snooker world have had a big loss, but no more so than his family, who includes his young daughter who will grow up never knowing her daddy. RIP Paul, you will always be remebered x x x
